What is the Church Club

 

Founded 30 years ago as a place for members of the parish to meet socially, enjoy a drink together and engage in a variety of social entertainments.  Open Tuesday to Saturday evenings, the bar is staffed entirely by volunteers thus ensuring the price of drinks is very modest.

 

Who can join?

Membership is open to anyone over 18 who live in the Ecclesial Parish of St John Baptist Church as well as those who regularly worship there.  Members are able to sign in family and friends.

 

What goes on?

The club committee organise games and events on a regular basis. We have two pool tables as well as dominoes and cards. Quiz nights are very popular as is the Saturday evening live artiste or disco once each month. Outside there is a bowling green where teams compete from around the area.

 

What does it cost?

Under £10 a year although membership of the bowling section is additional.
